Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — written in plain language, not legalese.
CryptoMarketForecast is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. Here's exactly what we store:
When you create an account, we store your chosen username and a securely hashed password. We do not require your email address, real name, phone number, or any other identifying information.
The coins you add to your watchlist and any alert configurations you set up. This data is stored solely to provide you with the features you've configured.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used in aggregate. This includes page views, session duration, and general geographic region. This data is anonymized and cannot identify you personally.
We use browser localStorage to save your theme preference (light/dark mode), language selection, and authentication token. This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to third parties.
We want to be explicitly clear about what we do not collect:
• No email addresses (unless you voluntarily provide one in the future for alerts). • No real names, phone numbers, or physical addresses. • No payment information — the Service is completely free. • No wallet addresses or cryptocurrency holdings. • No trading history or financial information. • No tracking across other websites. • No selling or sharing of any data with advertisers.
The data we collect is used exclusively for these purposes:
Account functionality: Your username and hashed password authenticate your sessions and tie watchlists and alerts to your account.
Service improvement: Anonymous analytics help us understand which features are most used, identify technical issues, and improve the Service over time.
Alert delivery: Your alert preferences are used to check market conditions and notify you when your configured thresholds are triggered.
Account data is stored in a secure database hosted on Netlify's infrastructure. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt hashing before storage — we never store or have access to your plaintext password.
All connections to CryptoMarketForecast are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
The Service integrates with the following third-party services:
Google Analytics: For anonymous website usage statistics. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected through their analytics service. You can opt out using Google's browser extension.
CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, Binance, TradingView, CryptoPanic: These services provide the market data displayed on the Service. When you interact with embedded TradingView charts, TradingView's own privacy policy applies. We do not share your personal data with any of these providers.
Netlify: Our hosting provider. Netlify's privacy policy governs how they handle server logs and deployment data.
CryptoMarketForecast does not set any first-party cookies. We use browser localStorage for functionality (theme, language, auth token). Google Analytics may set its own cookies for analytics purposes, subject to Google's cookie policy.
You have the right to:
• Access your data: Your watchlist, alerts, and account information are visible within the Service at all times. • Delete your account: You may request account deletion at any time. This permanently removes your username, watchlist, alerts, and all associated data. • Opt out of analytics: You can disable Google Analytics by using browser privacy settings or Google's opt-out extension. • Export your data: Contact us to request a copy of your stored data.
CryptoMarketForecast is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, or if you wish to exercise any of your data rights, please contact us through the Service or via the information provided on our website.
